A mobile video technology provider upgraded its wireless camera options to deliver high-definition (HD) video.
Byron Center-based Pro-Vision on Wednesday, Jan. 5, said it upgraded its 2.4GHz wireless transmitter and receiver, allowing for HD video on in-cab monitors or digital video recorders. The transmitter/receiver can be paired and connected to a wired camera, which also will eliminate the need for long cables connecting the camera to a monitor or recording device.
The wireless camera enhancement also includes a built-in transmitter, simplifying installation by omitting a separate, standalone transmitter. The combined transmitter and receiver pair automatically, can connect up to 393 feet away and have an IP69K waterproof rating.
“Ever since we upgraded all of our wired cameras to support high-definition video, our team has been working tirelessly to bring HD to our wireless options,” said Matt Lehnert, vice president of engineering, Pro-Vision. “Running long cable lines in specific vehicle layouts can be problematic, and we’re excited to offer a solution that solves that issue.”
More information on the upgrades is on Pro-Vision’s website.
