Fifth Wheel Freight (FWF) appointed its former vice president to the position of chief operating officer.

Josh Brawley was promoted to the position to aid the company with its continued growth.

“Our growth, especially over my nearly six years with FWF, has been amazing to see,” Brawley said. “Our dedication to the success of each team member has provided personal and professional development, and I am confident we will continue to make an impact within our industry and our community.”

Brawley, a Michigan State University graduate, started his career in 2016 as an entry-level Logistics Consultant with FWF and quickly moved his way into positions displaying his leadership capabilities. His first promotion to pod lead paved the way for him to later shape the FWF team by becoming the company’s director of culture and talent acquisition from January 2017 to February 2021. Brawley then was promoted to vice president of the company in March.

“Josh’s relentless commitment to our team members, clients, carriers and vendors, paired with his elite leadership, contributes to our success and growth as an organization,” said Reese Van Heck, CEO of FWF. “I am confident that his dedication will propel us forward and solidify our position as a top company in West Michigan.”
