AHC Hospitality promoted six employees and hired an additional staff member at some of its hotels.
Caitlin McClelland, Ryan Schmied, Ethan Hansen, Lindsay Hovingh, Melissa Stanley and Jeffrey Burns were promoted within the company. Stephanie Cutler is its newest hire.
After initially joining AHC Hospitality as a seasonal massage therapist and later becoming a spa manager in 2012, McClelland was promoted to the spa director position. In her new role, McClelland will help support spa and salon operations at the Amway Grand Plaza and the JW Marriott Grand Rapids.
Schmied is now the corporate director of food and beverage experiences at AHC Hospitality. He is responsible for conceptual and menu development and project planning. Schmied joined AHC Hospitality in 2018 as the grand opening general manager for AC Hotel Grand Rapids.
Hansen is the hotel manager for Morton Hotel. He was previously the hotel supervisor, overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations. Hansen also was acting as a resident expert of MEWs Property Management System & Linel Lock System, among other positions.
Hovingh was promoted to director of rooms for Amway Grand Plaza Curio Collection by Hilton. She previously served as a front desk agent, guest services supervisor, rooms division manager and the opening general manager of the Hyatt Place Grand Rapids Downtown.
Stanley was promoted to general manager for AC Hotel Grand Rapids. She has been with AHC Hospitality for 13 years and with AC Hotel for three years. Stanley held previous positions such as operations manager and assistant general manager.
Burns was promoted to assistant general manager for Hyatt Place Grand Rapids Downtown after serving in six different positions throughout the 10 years he has been with the company.
AHC Hospitality recently hired Cutler as its general manager for Hyatt Place Grand Rapids Downtown. She was the general manager of the Hampton Inn and Suites and guest services manager of the Hyatt Place South.
