Triangle Associates has created and filled a sales leadership position.
The Grand Rapids-based construction firm said today that it has named James Conner its vice president of business development.
Triangle Associates said the role will be responsible for overseeing the firm's short-term strategies and long-term sales.
Conner will be responsible for new business lead generation, early construction planning and networking with clients.
He will also be part of the firm’s senior management team.
Conner was recently the senior project manager of business development in West Michigan for Barton Malow Company.
Previously, Conner spent 16 years at Granger Construction in a number of leadership positions.
In the community, Conner is the founder and executive director of West Michigan Multisport Racing and serves as vice-chair on the board of the Kent County Parks Foundation.
Conner earned his B.S. in construction science and management from Western Michigan University.
“Jim brings hands-on construction experience to Triangle, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry,” said Mitch Watt, president, Triangle Associates. “His wide range of capabilities and expertise will be a strong asset to our organization.”
