The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts will present a variety of performers at its Off the Wall event downtown tomorrow night.
The event will feature artists from several genres from 6-9 p.m. at UICA, at 2 Fulton St W.
The audience will get to witness “visionary performances” by musicians, spoken-word poets, singers, dancers, actors and comedians.
They will also get the opportunity to see original artwork and experiment with new material at UICA.
“UICA actively challenges both artists and audiences to new levels of dialogue, creative pursuit, reflection and illumination,” said Miranda Krajniak, executive director, UICA. “The Wall is an opportunity for our community to experience forms of artistic expression that are often not presented in a gallery atmosphere, but that have equal importance in recording and responding to the time in which we live.”
The event will also include food from San Chez Bistro and Cakabakery and a cash bar with a variety of wines and craft beers.
UICA members can purchase tickets for $35. Tickets for non-members are $50. Tickets can be purchased online.
Proceeds from the event will support UICA’s programming, exhibitions, films and art-focused events year-round.
