A holiday tradition not only for the UICA, but for devoted local shoppers as well, the UICA will host its Holiday Artists Market this weekend.

The annual event, which is celebrating its 25th year, will be Friday, from 5-9 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

More than 40 artists will have work for sale.

Shoppers can expect to find one-of-a-kind gifts of all sorts: jewelry, home goods, fine art, holiday cards, accessories, toys and other items.

In addition to checking off holiday gift lists, shoppers will also find entertainment by The Kent County String Band on Friday night, food and drinks from local vendors, and workshops for adults and children.

Adults are invited to create a holiday terrarium on Saturday, at either 3 or 5 p.m. UICA will provide the supplies, and the workshop is $15-$20.

Children will have the opportunity to participate in a snow globe-making workshop on Saturday, at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m., for $10-$15.
