A night of global cuisine and fine wine is coming to Grand Rapids this week.
Van Andel Institute’s J-Board Ambassadors and Bar Divani are once again hosting the annual Around the World dining and drinking event this Friday at 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will go toward Van Andel Institute’s science education programs.
The event was formerly held at Bar Divani, but because of the large number of guests expected, it has been moved this year to the Harris Building in downtown Grand Rapids, at 111 Division Ave. S.
Around the World will feature a strolling buffet of exotic Asian, Latin American, European and American dishes.
There will also be wines from Michigan and all over the world.
“It’s a pretty wide variety. Most of them are local, but they do bring a bunch from around the world,” said Frank Brenner, a spokesperson at Van Andel Institute.
Tickets for the VAI event are $50 each.
People can register for All Around the World online.
