Experience Grand Rapids has announced the launch of the national Grand Rapids commercial — in partnership with the Pure Michigan campaign.
The commercial will air on 10 major networks nationally for three weeks, beginning today: HGTV, Cooking Channel, Bravo, Food Network, TLC, Oxygen, WE tv, OWN, Travel Channel and The Weather Channel.
The commercial is narrated by Tim Allen and features the visitor experience of Grand Rapids, including dining, craft beer, art and views of the lakeshore.
“The time is right for Grand Rapids to increase its awareness nationally,” said Doug Small, president of Experience Grand Rapids. “With the addition of Southwest Airlines, retaining the title of BeerCity, U.S.A. 2013 and the increased growth in our metro population, there is an amplified momentum in Grand Rapids, and it couldn’t be a better time to ramp up our marketing efforts. We look forward to the positive impact this national campaign will have on our whole community and an abundance of new economic development opportunities that far transcend tourism.”
In addition to the national ad campaign, Grand Rapids will receive increased exposure on Michigan.org, through the Pure Michigan blog and newsletter and participation with the Pure Michigan 400 and Pure Michigan MyCokeRewards.com promotions.
