A woman with years of sales experience in the West Michigan market is the new chief advancement officer at Wedgwood Christian Services.
Wedgwood Christian Services in Grand Rapids said last week that it has named Vivian TerMaat to the CAO role.
Since February, TerMaat has been serving as interim CAO for the nonprofit, which provides counseling and educational services to more than 11,000 at-risk children and families annually.
“Vivian has served us in an interim capacity and has exceeded all reasonable expectations,” said Randy Zylstra, president and CEO, Wedgwood Christian Services. “We look forward to many happy years of her leadership.”
She will report to Zylstra and serve as a member of the Wedgwood Senior Leadership Operations Team.
TerMaat is responsible for the planning and implementation of Wedgwood’s fund raising, development programs and event planning.
TerMaat said she’s looking forward to creating several “efficient and compelling opportunities for donors to support Wedgwood and to make giving a rewarding experience.”
TerMaat joined Wedgwood in 2013 as a senior advancement officer.
Previously, she worked as director of sales for WXMI FOX 17 and as an account executive at WOOD TV 8.
TerMaat holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and Spanish from Western Michigan University and is close to completion on her master of marketing management at Aquinas College.
