Two West Michigan companies have been included on Forbes' list of The World's 100 Most Reputable Companies.

Battle Creek-based Kellogg ranks No. 25 on the list, and Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool ranks No. 43 on the list.

Methodology

The rankings are based on Reputation Institute’s global database of RepTrak scores spanning 2006 to 2012.

Companies had to have an above average reputation score, considered to be 70 or greater, to receive a ranking.

The list's selection criteria also include company size, based on annual revenue, multinational presence and high familiarity among consumers in 15 measured global markets: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Spain, South Korea, the U.K. and the U.S.
