The West Michigan Tourist Association has named the marketer who will promote the group's nearly 700 members.
The WMTA is based out of Grand Rapids, but works to promote the entire west side of the state, from Mackinac Island down to the state line.
Courtney Sheffer will now head up all of WMTA’s marketing efforts: media requests, social marketing, editorial content, branding, website content and enewsletters, as well as member relations, annual publications and more.
Sheffer has spent the past four years managing all of the internal and external marketing efforts at the Double JJ Resort in Rothbury.
She has also worked as a graphic designer.
"The WMTA has a great marketing program already in place, so I'm looking forward to adding some new and innovative ways that we can further market our members," Sheffer said.
"West Michigan has such a rich abundance of places to visit, dishes to try, the great outdoors and the big city — that there's always something for everyone,” she added.
