A winery in the region has named its new vice president.

St. Julian Winery in Paw Paw appointed Nancie Oxley to the position.

Oxley will manage St. Julian’s Estate Vineyard, implement the multi-stage re-design of its winemaking and distillation and soon-to-be brewing cellar and develop new vineyard plantings to maintain the current growth of the company.

She will also represent St. Julian on several advisory boards, including the Michigan Wine Producers Association, Lake Michigan College Enology and Viticulture Advisory Board and Southwest Michigan College AgTech Viticulture Advisory Board.

Oxley brings with her 15 years of hands-on experience in the winemaking industry.

She received her B.S. in food manufacturing operations and a double minor in agribusiness management and organizational leadership and supervision in 2002 and her M.S. in food and agribusiness management in 2010 from Purdue University-Indiana University in West Lafayette, Indiana, with the M.B.A. portion of her degree completed at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
