Wolverine Worldwide has signed a multiyear partnership with a glove manufacturer that will produce a full collection of “work-tough” hand wear.
The Rockford-based maker of footwear and apparel signed the licensing agreement with Westbrook, Maine-based Olympia Sports, according to Wolverine.
“Wolverine is very excited to be working with the team at Olympia Sports, one of the leading creators of quality hand wear,” said Steve Workman, vice president of global product at Wolverine.
“Being able to expand our brand into gloves is a unique opportunity, and we are eager to partner with Olympia.”
Under the partnership, Wolverine and Olympia will launch a collection of gloves in the work, hunt/fish and casual categories. Each pair of gloves will have various features, including safety, protection, insulation and camouflage.
“We build gloves that enhance people’s enjoyment of life while providing the protection and durability they rely on in a quality product,” said Roger Heumann, president of Olympia Sports.
“People will see the Wolverine work gloves as essential equipment for their hands.”
The gloves will retail for between $30 and $120. They will be available starting in fall 2020 at retail stores and on wolverine.com.
