The latest member of Wolverine Worldwide's board of directors is a senior executive at a Fortune 500 software maker.

Executive background

Roxane Divol, senior vice president of alliances for Symantec Corporation, has joined the board of the global footwear maker based in Rockford.

Symantec is one of the world's largest software companies. It specializes in personal and organizational security, storage and availability solutions.

Divol is one of three women on the 11-member board.

Previously, Divol was a partner in the San Francisco office of McKinsey & Company, a global management-consulting firm.

In 2013, she was named one of the "Most Influential Women in Business" by the San Francisco Business Times.

She currently serves on the board for the Global Fund for Women, as well as the board for Lycée Français de San Francisco.

Divol received an M.B.A. from INSEAD with distinction and a master’s in engineering from Ecole Polytechnique, an engineering school and military academy in France.

“Vast” digital experience

Blake Krueger, Wolverine Worldwide's chairman and CEO, said Divol has “an impressive track record with a strong marketing and sales background” and “vast experience in the fast-moving world of digital technology.”

“Roxane Divol is a talented executive who adds valuable strategic and global perspective to our already strong board of directors," Krueger said.

Divol said she is “very pleased to join the board of Wolverine Worldwide.”

“The Wolverine portfolio contains some of the world's most-admired brands, and I look forward to working with the management team and fellow board members to continue the company's long and successful track record of rewarding the company's shareholders,” Divol said.
