Fords Passenger Numbers Soaring

CASCADE — Through the first four months of this year, Gerald R. Ford International Airport recorded a 10.25 percent increase in passenger traffic over the same period last year.

The airport experienced its busiest January-through-April period in its history, accommodating nearly 700,000 passengers over the four-month period.

The month of March proved to be Ford International’s busiest month ever, with nearly 190,000 travelers served.

“Our customers have responded enthusiastically to the choice of airlines available here, the reasonable fares, the numerous nonstop destinations and the range of other airport services and amenities that we offer,” said Aeronautics Director James Koslosky.

Twelve airlines operate out of Ford International, offering 150 flights per day to and from 14 nonstop destinations.
