GRAND RAPIDS — G.B. Russo and Son is expanding its store at 2770 29th St. SE by 8,000 square feet. When the project is completed next spring, the fine food and wine retailer will have 18,000 square feet of space.
Wolverine Building is managing the design-and-build project, which includes exterior upgrades to the existing façade and renovation of the entire store, parking lot, utilities and landscape. Russo’s will remain open during construction.
“Our biggest challenge on this project will be to minimize the disruption to the staff and patrons of Russo’s during construction,” said Chris Nye, Wolverine Building project manager.
Gordon Jendritz of Wolverine Building and ROI Design designed the project.
