Hart Media Moves To A New Name

GRAND RAPIDS — Hart Media Group has announced plans to change its name to Move Communications, effective immediately.

The firm says the idea is to better reflect its growth into a full-service marketing communications company.

Founded in Ann Arbor in 1984 as a video and film production company, Hart Media Group has broadened its production services to include print, new media and Internet.

In recent years, the company completed its evolution by adding new talent and expanding its capabilities into the areas of strategy and planning.

Currently the company works primarily with automotive interior suppliers, publishing and home and office furnishing clients.

In 2001 the company opened a second office in Grand Rapids to better serve its west Michigan based clients including Johnson Controls, DPI and Zondervan.

Since then the Grand Rapids office has grown to become the larger of the two locations and will be the primary base for new business and development.

“This is much more than a name change,” said Doug Hart, the company’s president. “This new name reflects the expanded capabilities we’ve added over the years to better serve our clients and to help them achieve their business goals. Whether it’s strengthening a brand, launching a new product or developing a marketing campaign to improve their bottom line, we have found that clients demand integrated solutions for their marketing needs.”

He said the company offers clients the core capabilities of strategic planning, creative ideation and full production expertise in print, video, film, web and new media. Hart says Move’s team is comprised of a core staff plus strategic partners.

“Our team works on a simple philosophy, to define, develop and deliver,” said Hart.

“We define the goal, we develop a plan and we deliver results. We try not to complicate it any more than that.”
