Home Show Opens Tomorrow

    GRAND RAPIDS — The 24th West Michigan Home and Garden Show opens on Thursday and runs through Sunday at the Grand Center in downtown Grand Rapids.

    The annual event will have 300 exhibitors showcasing their products and services, ranging from organic topsoil to outdoor lighting systems, in more than 500 booths. Advice on cooking, gardening and remodeling will be offered through a host of seminars to be held on three stages.

    Standard Lumber, Standard Kitchens, Merillat Industries, Sherwin Williams, Thompson Remodeling, and Maytag will offer tips to remodelers on the builders’ stage.

    “The show gives you a glimpse of the companies you may want to do business with,” said Jane Payne, marketing director for Williams Kitchen and Bath.

    Showspan Inc. is producing the show. Hours are 3-9:30 p.m. on Thursday; noon-9:30 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $6 for adults; $3 for children ages 6-14; kids 5 and under get in for free.
