BYRONCENTER — The region’s largest credit union is opening a new branch office later this month.

Lake Michigan Credit Union, with more than 120,000 customers and more than $1 billion in assets, will open a new branch on April 16 in the ByronCenterServicePark at

“Our members have been requesting a branch in this area. The region is growing due to the South Beltline and the health care facilities; expanding in it is a natural for us,” said Julie Blitchok, vice president of operations and marketing for LMCU.

The 2,500-square-foot branch will offer full credit union services, and have four teller stations, an ATM and a drive-through lane.

“The branch is a pre-existing location and will be designed with the same warm and inviting tones our branches are recognized for,” said Blitchok. “We are very pleased to bring our award-winning service to the ByronCenter area.”

LMCU has 21 branch offices in West Michigan.
