Management Changes At ADAC

GRAND RAPIDS — One of West Michigan’s largest automotive suppliers has announced an executive shakeup, as ADAC Automotive CEO Ken Hungerford will relinquish his role to president Jim Teets.

Hungerford will remain chairman of the $225 million maker of molded and painted door handles and functional exterior and interior trim parts. Executive Vice President Don Bittner will take on the additional role of COO, which was previously held by Teets.

Hungerford, who has held the top executive post at ADAC since 1986, said that Teets “has been being groomed to take the helm here at ADAC for some time.”

Teets joined the company in 1993 as a marketing administrator. He was named president in 2001.

The company stated hopes that the top-level realignment will better position it for innovation and reliable customer service in what it expects to be an incredibly difficult 2007.
