GRAND RAPIDS — Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone PLC and Acordia of Michigan are hosting a briefing on Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plans (NQDC) from 8-9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, in the University Club at 111 Lyon NW.
The briefing is free but is limited to employers, most notably those that allow executives or key employees to defer a portion of their income, have a stock plan, or offer severance benefits without payouts over time. Employers that do have at least one of the three may have a NQDC plan.
Those with a NQDC plan have until the end of the year to make amendments or be subject to tax and penalties under new deferred compensation rules.
Space is limited and advance registration is required. Contact Katrina Williams of Acordia at (616) 776-0270 for more information or to register. A continental breakfast will open the meeting at 7:30 a.m.
