The Grand Rapids-based Christian publishing firm saidBruce Nuffer joined the children’s division of Zondervan last week.
Nuffer replaces former publisher Gary Richardson.
His responsibility will be to develop strategies for children’s publishing, creating new products. He also will run the overall product acquisitions program.
In announcing the appointments, Scott Bolinder, Zondervan executive vice president and publisher, said the firm believes Nuffer “has the passion to lead a very talented team of veteran editors in building a leading children’s publishing list.”
Nuffer comes from Beacon Hill Press of Kansas City, Mo., where he most recently served as senior marketing manager and sales manager. He also was responsible for all marketing, including campaign development, publicity and sales.
Prior to that, Nuffer was the children’s book and programs editor for WordAction Publishing, where he managed children’s book projects from prospect to production.
Nuffer has a bachelor’s degree in English from South Nazarene University and a master’s degree in English from the University of Oklahoma.
